Astara was born
Launched in 1997, Astara Skincare was born out of the need and visions of its founder Sunny Griffin, a former supermodel, journalist and beauty executive. Her move to the high altitude of Telluride, Colorado wreaked havoc on her skin, prompting Sunny to seek a skincare solution that supported her wellness-driven lifestyle. Her search for solutions prompted her realization of the need for a botanical skincare line with truly active constituents. During her research she became a serious student and proponent of raw foods. It was then that Sunny’s vision became a reality. She combined her expertise in nutrition, health and beauty and Astara was born.
