Spring Makeup Looks

This spring it is all about color and femininity starting from makeup all the way to clothes. You will see a lot of bright, sunny colors as well as more subtle, pastel colors. A lot of glitz and glitter will also be making its way during the night of course, as well as lots of pink and rose colors.

For the eyes, go with a bright color other than your ordinary eyeshadow. Stay away from dreary colors such as gray, dark brown, etc. Try something new like turquoise, teal, peach, yellow undertones, greens, and pinks. Make sure any one of these colors go with your skin tone as well as with your hair as these things can easily clash.

For the lips, pucker up and let hot, bright colors touch your lips. Anything from hot pink, to soft peach is a must. Go for Juicy Tubes from Lancome, they are absolutely amazing! They leave your lips looking very shiny, juicy, and full all at the same time. juicy-tubes.jpg

For blush, stick with something peachy or rosy. You don’t want to over do it, so just make sure your blush or bronzer looks natural on you.

Tips For Party Face

For a special occasion, especially an evening event, many women choose to put on a party face with a little bit of extra makeup. For a formal occasion, a special date, a holiday party, or even a ladies night out, applying more formal and glamorous makeup than what is ordinarily worn can make a woman feel beautiful, confident and sexy.
Makeup That Matches

For a special occasion, such as a wedding, Christmas party, New Year's party, or even a fun night out on the town, it's fashionable to match the tone of your party face to the outfit. For example, an outfit of jeans and a T-shirt often looks awkward with a face completely made up with lots of foundation, mascara and bright red lipstick. However, a sparkly formal dress will look great with this makeup combination.

Bring Out Those Cheekbones

Enhancing the cheeks has been a trend for several years and now since the make-up application techniques have developed make-up has become even more attractive. Find out how you can get gorgeous cheeks so you can look beautiful every day.

Rosy cheeks have always manged to create a very innocent and sweet look, a look suitable for all occasions. The blushes created nowadays are more subtle and can create a gorgeous effect for allskin type. There are also a variety of colors available to suite different skin tones and preferences.

Because applying the blush improperly can create an unflattering make-up, it is best to choose colors that are softer and are close to your skin tone. You want to emphasize your cheeks not make them stand out on their own. Here are some tips to get gorgeous cheeks so you can look beautiful every single minute:

# to determine the exact area you need to apply the blush it is recommended to stand in front of a mirror and smile. This will emphasize your cheeks and it will reveal the exact spot where you need to apply the blush

# don't apply the blush high towards the hairline as you will create a very unappealing look. Stop at the highest edge of your cheeks and you will have a very subtle, cute look

# the look you should be going for would be a very subtle one so try to avoid applying too much blush. Shake or blow off some the excess powder blush on your brush to avoid applying too much

# avoid applying cream blushes on your skin if you have an oily complexion. Your skin is already oily you don't need creamy make-up to make your cheeks even more shiny. Powder blush will help you create a matte finish, so go for the powder blushes instead

# the more natural looking the blush is, the more natural the effect created will be. Try to use rosy, peach, or brown colored blushes that match and complement your complexion

# choose lighter colors during the day and go for darker shades during the evening as the result will not be as obvious during the night as it is during the day

Choose the brand that appeals to you most and make sure you emphasize your gorgeous cheeks as best as possible. Your make-up look will be completed by the blush and you will radiate beauty.

Look and Feel Confident

Makeup can make you look and feel like the woman you are. Unfortunately, we don’t always get our makeup right and instead of feeling confident, we feel let down. Well here is a fool proof trick on how you can radiant confidence inside and out!

Convey assertiveness by lighting up your features to get a golden glow. Star by applying a dab of high-lighter to the tops of your cheeks, outer corners of your eyes, and brow bones. You will instantly see a world of difference. Glowy complexions not only make you feel confident, but make you look like a goddess too!

To maximize this look, slick on a luminescent gloss in a sparkling champagne color. This will go perfectly with your dewy complexion. The reflective shades of gold found in the gloss will make you eye-catching like never before.

Top it all off with a hot spring outfit, and you’re pretty much ready to hit the runway! Or if you’re not going to the runway…anywhere else, you’ll still look hot!glowy face

Look Younger Eye Makeup Tips

Try these look younger eye make-up tips first, before thinking about medical treatments. Makeup can camouflage your flaws and enhance your appearance. First, use a white liner to extend the whites of your eyes and give yourself a wide-eyed look. Buy a white pencil eyeliner and apply it near the waterline, being careful not to get the product in the eye. White liner is known to draw attention to the eyes, making them look larger and younger.
Look Younger Eye Make Up Tips: Lining the Eye

Avoid using thick black lines to line the eyes. Black liner tends to age the eyes, especially when a thick line is placed on the eyelid. Try using lighter colors for eyeliner. White eyeliner or shadow can be used on the eyelid, too. Brown liner is also a good alternative to black eyeliner.

If black eyeliner must be used, make the line as thin as possible and smudge it. To line the eye, hold the corner of the eye down, without pulling it. Carefully draw a light line from the inside corner of the eye to the outside corner of the eye.
Concealer to Cover Dark Under Eye Circles

Dark under eye circles and add years to the face. Some under eye circles are merely caused by shadows created when the area below the eye sinks in. These shadows are sometimes caused by lack of sleep. Cover the dark areas by using a lightweight creamy concealer that is a shade lighter than the natural skin color.

Use a small flat concealer brush to apply the product. Dab the concealer under the eyes and pat it onto the skin with the brush. The brush may apply less pressure to this delicate area than the fingers. Avoid using your fingers, because constant manipulation of this sensitive area using fingers may encourage wrinkling. Blend in foundation that matches your shade.
Shadow Colors

Bright neon shadow colors can age you. Use colors that enhance your complexion and your eyes. Heavy, dark colors can also appear aging. Instead, opt for lighter, natural shades that draw attention to the color of your eyes.

Use as little shadow as possible, and always take care to blend away any lines. Shadow should flow seamlessly from one color to another. One of the best look younger eye make tips is to reduce the amount of shadow that is applied. Shadow should enhance, and you will look younger if the shadow isn't too obvious.
Clumping Mascara and False Lashes

Clumped eyelashes from sticky mascara can also date a person's eyes. Use a small lash brush to comb through the mascara after it is applied. Try using a toothpick to remove the clumps from sticky lashes, being careful not to get poked in the eye. Apply a couple of coats of mascara.

Although it is fun to experiment with false lashes, they may also tend to add years to the eyes. Lashes that look false will date an older woman, so if wearing falsies is a must, opt for lashes that look natural when worn.

Less is definitely more when trying to achieve a younger look with eye makeup. Go for a young, innocent look by avoiding dark shadow colors, and using lighter colors to brighten up the eyes.

Use concealer to hide dark under eye areas and make sure that lashes are well-groomed but not weighed down. Finally, arch eyebrows and keep them tweezed. Bushy eyebrows with stray hairs can also age the face. Once the eyebrows are groomed, use a tiny amount of light shadow color just below the brows to for brighter eyes.

Apply Eyeliner Men

If you've been wondering how to apply eyeliner, men, look no further! While conventional wisdom and common practice dictate that it's the women who favor this trusty cosmetic product, there's no law that states a man can't take advantage of it too! Whether you wear it on stage or simply as a personal preference, you know what a difference the right application technique can make.
Line those Eyes to Perfection

The beauty of eyeliner is in its magical ability to make the eyes stand out for miles and miles. The brightest green eyes can look like gemstones with a hint of black liner around the rim, and brown eyes suddenly take on a whole new personality when paired with a touch of violet liner.

Clearly, makeup works wonders, but it's not only women who benefit from this eye-popping product. Even men are getting in on the action, taking a cue from a variety of inspirations: the makeup on musicians such as Dave Navarro and Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, the goth-inspired looks so popular amongst youth today and the larger-than-life eyes that amp up an actor's stage presence. The old adage is indeed true – the eyes have it.
Here's how to Apply Eyeliner, Men!

Ask any woman who's attempted to draw a clean stroke with liquid eyeliner on her top lid; the first try is never easy. Don't be disheartened if the concept of applying eyeliner seems foreign to you at first. With just a little bit of practice, you'll get the hang of it in no time. Depending on what your purpose is for wearing it, there are a few different methods you might rely on. Here's how to do it without a lot of fuss.
Eyes on Stage

Making an impact on stage has just as much to do with your costume and makeup as your performance. Your character is all the more believable if your wardrobe reflects the persona you're trying to portray. You'll find that even the smallest details, such as your eye makeup, can make a big difference! Captain Jack Sparrow, anyone?

Eye makeup for the stage usually serves the purpose of making the eyes look much larger than they would otherwise. With all the shadows and light involved in a typical stage production, actors require plenty of makeup to ensure that their faces stand out across a crowded auditorium.

Use thick liquid eyeliner on stage to achieve maximum impact; paired with equally dark shadow and mascara, those eyes will definitely make a statement! Often, lining on the top lid is enough for a man, although the lower rim may also be lined if the roll calls for something especially dramatic.
So You Want to Be a Rock Star

If you've caught a video by The Killers or Fall Out Boy lately, you might have noticed the bands' respective lead singers' penchant for wearing eyeliner with reckless abandon. It's not a dainty, delicate line that these boys favor; it's a more haphazard, unkempt look that defines the rock star look of "guyliner." How best to achieve this? Look no further than the rock stars themselves. Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz told People magazine that his tried-and-true method won't fail budding rockers who wish to emulate the popular look. Here's how to do it:

1. Use a sharpened black eyeliner pencil to line the entire eye (both above and below the lash line).
2. Next, smear the liner to acquire that imperfect look. If you adhere to Wentz's method, you'll know that perfect eye makeup isn't really coveted by most men going for the rock star look!
3. Then you'll want to smudge your eye shadow on the top lid if you choose to wear it. This contributes to the smoky, dark effect.
4. Lastly, go to sleep! That's right, guys. You'll want to break one of beauty's biggest rules and hit the sack with your makeup still on. Why? Well, day-old eye makeup enhances the "dirty" effect that complements this look so well. Just be prepared to commit to plenty of sheet- and pillowcase-washing!

How to Remove Fingernail Ridges

Fingernail ridges can be unpleasant aesthetically because the ridges formed will be enhanced by nail polish, thus they will become more obvious. Here are some tips to help you remove fingernail ridges.
Perfectly smooth nails look gorgeous and help create the best looking manicures. There are several factors which can influence the aspect of the nails. Trauma, unhealthy eating habits and improper nail care can lead to certain nail problems.

Nail ridges appear under the form of waves, nail elevations which can be horizontal or vertical. These nail ridges will appear more visible if polish is applied on the nails. Horizontal nail ridges can be caused by an injury or trauma caused at the base of the nail. The trauma will cause the nail to form ridges as it grows.

Vertical ridges in the nails can be caused genetically or by traumatizing the nail growth area. This will cause vertical ridges to form on the nails.
These ridges can form on the fingernails as well as on the toenails and they create a very unaesthetic look.

In order for your nails to look their best you need to:

# always protect your nails with gloves when doing household chores to avoid traumatizing the nails. This will prevent any more damage from occurring

# file the ridge gently with a nail file. File the ridge only in one direction and make sure you don't file the surrounding nail to cause even more damage

# protect your nails with clear nail polish to strengthen and protect your nails. That way your nails will remain strong as the ridges grow out. Sometimes the only way to remove the ridges is by allowing the nail to regenerate and grow out the ridge

# moisturize and soften your nails with lotion designed especially for the nail. This will allow the nails to grow healthier

# eat healthy to ensure your nails are receiving all the vitamins they need for normal nail growth. Your nails need calcium, iron, zinc and vitamin B to grow healthy and strong. By ensuring enough vitamins for the nails, the ridges might be eliminated quicker

Maintain and care for your fingernails as well as your toe nails because a beautiful manicure begins with healthy, strong looking nails.

Tips For Smoky Bedroom Eyes

Getting those sexy, smoky eyes can be hard to do, especially when there are a million different ways of doing it…it can get pretty confusing. For me at least, there have been times when I would simply forget or screw something up, so I always found it hard to remember every single step and get it perfectly.

Thankfully, I went shopping in the States today (which is my favorite thing to do) and found some amazing deals, one of which I absolutely fell in love with. I had never really gone to Marshall’s before, but I decided to pop in and see what’s new, and to my surprise found some amazing deals on everything from shoes, to perfume, to makeup and anything else you can imagine.

Hidden on a bottom shelf (after scouring like a maniac for what seemed like hours), I found a cute little box that came complete with a beautiful silk eye pillow in black and white, 3 different eye shadows, a shadow brush, mascara duo, a black eyeliner, and a pencil sharpener. Upon examining the box, I finally decided to read the label and found that every single item in the box was actually for getting sexy, bedroom eyes.

I looked on the back of the box and got very excited because they had step-by-step instructions on how to use every single product in the box to get that look. I couldn’t wait to get home and try it, and I am seriously impressed. Oh and by the way…the whole thing cost $7.99. I’m a bargain queen, so I was ecstatic. Now even if you don’t go and buy the Donna L’Oren Bedroom Eyes set, you can still get those sexy bedroom eyes, and here’s how!smoky bedroom eyes

STEP 1

Apply a very light ivory shadow to the inner corner of the eyes using a shadow brush. Press it into the corners. This will open up your eyes, and make them look nice and big!

STEP 2

Use a gray shadow on your upper eyelids going from the outer corner of the eye to the crease and middle part of the eyelid all the way up to the brow bone.

STEP 3

Apply a dark shade, almost black, to the outer corners of the upper eye lids. Use a shadow brush to blend all 3 colors in.

STEP 4

Coat your lashes with a good mascara, working in a zig zag motion from the base of the lashes and curling up and out at the tip.

STEP 5

Finish off by lining the entire perimeter of the eyes (as close to your lashes as possible) with a black eyeliner and voila ladies, you’ve got sexy, smoky bedroom eyes!

Trends For Fall’s Hottest Makeup

It’s time to toss out your spring and summer makeup and step into fall’s new collection of dazzling colors, shimmery shadows and dramatic looks. It’s a time for renewing your way of thinking and changing your look for the better. So if you’re a drama queen, try subduing your look this fall by going for a simpler, more natural look. If you tend to shy away from dramatic looks, embrace it by adding lots of color to your makeup collection.

GET THE NATURAL LOOKnatural looking makeup

There is nothing more beautiful than a woman who feels confident enough to wear her makeup in a simple, natural way. You can get this soft, natural look by accentuating your best features and keeping everything clean and simple. Beautify your natural look by applying a taupe or beige shadow all over the eyelid and finishing off with a coat of mascara. Clear or natural gloss on the lips creates some light and gives your pout that “just kissed” effect.mineral makeup is also great for simple, natural looks as it doesn’t cake on like other products do.

GET THE DRAMATIC LOOKpurple smoky eye

This is for all of you that shy away from dramatic makeup; it’s time to play it up! Dark, dramatic makeup is reminiscent of the late 1950’s Hollywood celebs and is always a timeless, classic look that is great for the evening. Because purple shades are so hot this fall, you can incorporate them into your eyeshadow. Instead of creating the usual s, blend in a rich plum shade to create a dramatic effect. Also, don’t be afraid to work on your lips too. This season, makeup artists aren’t shying away from working on dramatic eyes as well as dramatic lips. Usually, if you work the smoky eye you would have to tone down the lips. But this fall you don’t have to follow that trend anymore! Line your lips with a soft pink/mauve lipliner and use a soft plum matte lipstick.

GET THE SOFT, ROMANTIC LOOKromantic look

For those romantic fall nights, follow this soft, pretty look with an emphasis on the eye. This is one of the hottest fall beauty trends since it is a muted-down version of last year’ smoky eye painted with a pretty pink lip. The secret to getting this look is a flawless, airbrushed finish to the skin and tons of mascara to open up the eyes. Just like with the traditional smoky eye, line your upper and lower lids with a brown eyeliner. Using your finger, smudge the liner over your lids and apply a medium brown to dark chocolate eyeshadow and blend in all over your eyelid. Blend a lighter shadow from the crease of your eye to the lash line so the two colors blend together. Finish off the look by applying two coats of a volumizing macara. The pink lip is the star in this look since pink is the new red this season. This look is great since the eyes are monochrome and the lips are bright. Choose a sheer lipstick with lots of shine.

Beautyfull Makeup in Just 5 Minutes!

Sometimes you find yourself in a rush and it’s not always easy to finish up your makeup and have it look good as well. If you go to work or to school early in the morning, you might not want to spend 20 minutes on your makeup, but here’s some amazing looks you can do yourself in just under 5 minutes. Not only are these looks fast and easy, but they’ll have you look like a goddess- pronto!

If there is one thing I hate in the morning, it’s getting ready. I wish they would just invent a makeup mask that you can just put on your face, and ta-da! Well, they’ve probably already invented that and I just don’t know about it -so let me know if you’ve heard anything! Whether you’re a smokey eye fan or you just like the subtle look these following faces will have you screaming for joy either way. Keep reading to find out!

SIMPLE AND SHEERsheer and simple makeup

This look is for the makeup minimalist, and perfect for during the day. What you need is a rosy-pink blush and lip balm. For a dewy glow, dab a lip balm on cheeks, inner eye corners and lips of course. Next, fill out your brows and brush them upwards. With a simple, fresh look it’s crucial that your brows look perfect and groomed. And honestly, this won’t take you 5 minutes!

PRETTY IN PINKfuschia lipstick

If you’re a fan of bright, red lipstick, think about going a little different today. Instead, try a fuschia lipstick, which is more fun and playful anyways. Start by lining your lips with a magenta colored lip pencil to prevent color bleeding. Fuschia is a color that is not only versatile, but works great on girls with dark or fair hair. To balance out this bold look, swipe on a lengthening mascara and voila you have pretty in pink lips and to-die-for lashes.

THE NEW SMOKEY EYEsubtle smokey eye

If you’re a fan of the smoky eye, but don’t necessarily have time to do it in the morning, here’s the new and improved smokey eye on the rush! Bold, black colors can turn out horrible on bad days, so you have to step it down a notch and incorporate easier-to-wear colors, such as gray hues. Start by filling in the upper lashes with a gray pencil and drag out the line at the outer corners of the eye to create a slightly winged shape. Smudge a bit of gray shadow along the lower lash line and you don’t even need mascra to boot. You can call this look the “during the day smokey eye”.

VIOLETSviolet eyeshadow

Pretty purples and violets
are the it colors this season, so it’s no wonder that they’re ending up on our eyes as well. To warm up the purple shadow, blend some peach blush with a hint of shimmer high on the cheekbone and up to the lids. If you put on too much, you can end up looking dated. A touch of iridescence gives skin a youthful luminosity. Instead of going for the traditional nude lip, try a salmon color for more excitement.

GOLDEN GIRLgold eyeshadow

This is another version of the smokey eye and it’s perfect for a rushed night out or whatever you’re in the mood for. Start by dotting black pencil between the lashes and line the lower inner rims. Then blend the liner with a slick black gloss for a super sexy effect. For the final touch, blend a dab of lip balm with a gold shadow and gild the inner eye corners. This will open up your eyes a thousand times!

Makeup: What’s In, What’s Out

We all have stuff in our makeup box that’s been sitting there for God knows how long (at least I dget a matte complexiono). Sparkles from back in the day, and eye shadows that we probably shouldn’t even put on our skin. After all, we should all know thatall products have a shelf life and eventually they expire. So if you’ve got stuff in there you don’t even remember wearing in the past year, it’s time to say goodbye. So clean out your makeup drawer and start stocking up on the stuff you really need this season.

In: A Matte Complexion

This season it’s all about looking flawless
and an almost greasy, dewy complexion is not the way to go. Instead, opt for a more subdued look that will give you compliments all year long.

Out: A Dewy Complexionnatural eyebrows

Save it for the summer time!

In: Natural Eyebrows

It’s all about leaving your natural brows do their work and stop over-tweezing. This season it’s all about looking natural so let your brows have a chance!

Out: Super Arched Brows

You know exactly what I’m talking about: it’s just so fake!

In: Soft Lashessoft lashes

Stop piling on coat after coat of mascara. One coat of black or brown mascara is all you need: go for a more natural look.

Out: Piled on Lashes

Heavily mascarad lashes are not off the map but at least for this season keep it nice and simple.

In: Crimson Blush With a Sheenred cheeks

Go all out with rosy red cheeks this season ; it’s all the rage!

Out: Matte Orange Cheeks

Orange has never been a favorite color of mine and it’s not on your face either – it just looks too fake!

In: Letting Your Freckles Showfreckles are in

Let those beautiful freckles show by applying a sheer light tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone.

Out: Covering Up Your Freckles

Don’t you dare hide those freckles: I wish I had them!

In: Cherry Red Lipscherry red lips

Sheer, cherry red lips complement every skin tone so go nuts!

Out: Bold Pink Lips

Stay away from bright pinks and such until the summer at least.

In: Chocolate Nail Polishchocolate nail polish

Sounds good enough to eat! This season it’s all about deep-toned nail polish
such as burgundies and deep chocolates.

Out: Pink Nail Polish

Pink nail polish just doesn’t cut it this season; everything is way too luxurious for that. Again, save for summer.

How to Get Sexy Eyebrows Easy

Eyebrows that show definition can really make a face beautiful. Fortunately, with my tips, you don't have to be a professional nor have much money to get perfect eyebrows. Eyebrows that look well taken care of, and well distinguished on a woman's face do take some time and a little bit of
maintenance. Once you have the eyebrow system down, everyday, you won't need as much make-up because these eyebrows of yours will light up your face and make you glow.

First, you will need a good set of eyebrow tweezers, which I hope you already have. Next, you will also need a tiny pair of eyebrow scissors. Both of these tools are what you will be working with first to shape your eyebrows. If you have never tweezed your own eyebrows, I recommend getting them professionally waxed first, and then just keep up with them to give you a base. There is no need to get them waxed once a week or more. If you have a template to work with, the tiny hairs that grow back on your brow bone will help guide you with what hairs to pluck from there, and so on.

You can then create your own shape, don't be afraid to tweeze, just start out pulling one to two hairs at a time, no more. If you have some experience tweezing, create the shape you like. For thin eye brows, do not tweeze anything on top, just tweeze from the bottom and create an arch. Using a white eyeliner pencil, or any other bright color is a great way for you to outline where you want to tweeze hairs from on your eyebrows, this was a great tip I learned long ago.

Now that you have your shape, you want to moisturize. Use a mild lotion, preferably one for your face since it will be applied directly to the brows. I suggest if you use foundation, to apply that first. This also will create a base for the defining of the eyebrows we will be doing in our next step.

How to make yourself sexy

Fresh, chatty, and filled with Tracey Cox's personal tips and hilarious anecdotes, Superflirt takes the reader through the fundamentals of body language, then shows you how to express the messages you want to send and how to read what other bodies are saying to you. Packed with intimate photographs of real-life scenarios, this is the most stylish, elegantly designed, and up-to-date guide to body language available.

What makes someone sexy? Good question! After all, what's sexy to one person is 'Are you kidding?' to another. I'm not entirely sure whether it makes me sad, hopeful or a resourceful workaholic (it's my job, after all, to work with potential), but I can usually find something sexy about practically every person I meet. As evidenced by one (admittedly rather bleary) morning, standing outside a hotel in Bordeaux, waiting for everyone else to get their act together, and trying hard not to be seduced by the posh shop windows. Instead, I got seduced by the sight of a man who sauntered up the street toward me. These French really have got that sexy look mastered, I thought to myself, I mean look at this guy! The slightly dishevelled hair, shirt buttons undone, deliberately unshaven. It's all so well done, it's a little contrived really, I sniffed… Except… what was he doing rummaging around in that rubbish bin? Turned out the dishevelled look wasn't contrived after all. I know there's probably a law against fancying tramps/making any sort of sexual comment about the less financially fortunate, but it is a compliment and it does illustrate my point. Which is this: sex appeal is all about attitude and aura and making the best of what you've got. This guy wasn't waiting for money or status or society's approval before he'd let himself feel sexy. He just was and being seen rummaging in a rubbish bin didn't stop him throwing me a killer smile and saying something which sounded deliciously naughty. (Well, given the only French I know is 'Pardon. Je parle pa Francoise' - Sorry but I can't speak French - it could have been 'Sod off', quite frankly, but it sounded guttural and gorgeous.) There's a lesson in there for all of us.

Of course, what people really mean when they ask 'What makes someone sexy' is 'Am I sexy' and 'How can I be sexier?'. So let's just get right down to it, shall we? Here's the real secrets of sex appeal, along with how you can use the evidence practically to help boost your sex appeal.

You've on the right track if …

• Both sides of you match. The more symmetrical your face and body, the more sexually attractive you are and the more attention you get. It's not the result of nasty brainwashing by society either - even babies go ga-ga for symmetry. Far more manipulative than the media is Mother Nature. She consistently protects the healthiest of the species by making sure those from the strongest gene pool (in this case, the symmetrical) are seen as the most attractive. While no body is ever truly symmetrical (so stop stressing about your left boob/testicle being smaller/lower than the other right now), appearing 'matched' helps immeasurably. Female bodies are actually programmed to appear 30% more symmetrical on the magical high-conception day after ovulation. Not that it matters terribly much if you're symmetrical the rest of the time, mind you: you were probably shagging anyway! People with symmetrical bodies usually lose their virginity much younger and have more sexual partners than their lop-sided friends. (Which supports my own personal theory that the more attractive (aka symmetrical) you are, the more opportunities you have had to have sex and the higher your sexual scorecard. So all you smug bastards who look wide-eyed when asked and say, 'I've only ever had three' could effectively be saying, 'Only three people have asked me'.)

Lesson: Wear matching socks. (Not much else you can do to influence this one).

• You look like your genitals Err, perhaps I'd better explain this one properly. Sex obsessed creatures which we are, anything which reminds us of sex usually gets us going. A female with full, glossy, red lips is a turn-on because her lips mimic what (he fantasises anyway) is hopefully happening elsewhere: the vagina also 'plumps', moistens and darkens in colour when aroused. Phallic shaped foods like courgettes and bananas also subconsciously influence desire. Which goes a long way to explain why a. hotdogs are so popular (let's not even go there about the sauce); b. people cling to the myth about oysters being an aphrodisiac and c. the 'just got out of bed' look never goes out of fashion (we like to imagine anyone attractive in one - with us of course). In the same vein, a 'fertile' face is seen as a beautiful one. Clear, fresh skin, shiny eyes, youthful plump lips, a cold nose (or is that just dogs?) - a healthy-looking face like that tends to come attached to a body which is bursting to conceive. That's right, good old MN again, guiding us to the people most likely to keep the planet populated!

Lesson: Feel zero guilt when spending up big on lipgloss and load it on.

• You've got a big mouth Researchers created computerised versions of the average female face before getting test groups to rate their attractiveness. The first set were awarded an average attractiveness rating. In the next set, researchers increased the eyes and lips by 10% with this result: the faces were seen as younger and more beautiful. Once these features were exaggerated further however, the faces were universally judged as sexier. Look at the makeup on a typical glamour model: lots of heavy eyeliner to enlarge the eyes, pale, pouty lipgloss to accentuate the lips. Exactly the look you should aim for if you want to inspire lust… and if all you're searching for is a short-term fling. If you're after a long-term love affair, then a totally new set of rules apply! Prepare to bury the 'all men are bastards' theory forever (it's ridiculous anyway!): it's personality, not looks, which men go for in a long-term partner. A sexy face might inspire lust, but it's the girl with an average face and a nice personality who hook up long-term with. Why? It's her again! MN wants men to choose women whose idea of heaven is staying at home to raise their babies rather than dancing half-naked on a podium at a dance party.

Lesson: Looks count but it's your personality which makes people stick around.

• You walk young Along with swinging hips and general 'attitude', there's another crucial element to harness if you want to be seen as sex-on-legs: flexibility. Flexibility is what makes people appear to 'walk young' - an instant winner in the sexy stakes, says US human behaviouralist David Lieberman.

Lesson: Loosen those limbs.

• You make pots of money. If the 'all men are bastards' theory isn't true, the 'all women are bitches' one just might be. Countless studies show women continually go for good looks and money and if forced to choose between the two, money wins every time. I strongly objected to this research, convinced it was inaccurate. I'm not money-obsessed and neither are my girlfriends, so I asked a broad selection of men (aged 15-80) what the real story was. I'm embarrassed to report they and all said this is true of 80% of the women they meet. Maybe it's the old baby theory again (he earns enough to support you), I'd rather believe that than greed.

• You look like a girl, even if you're a bloke Just like men, women go for different types depending on what she wants from the relationship. This was again, all rather nicely illustrated by an experiment which allowed women to control the features on a computer generated face. By moving a bar, she could make the man's face more masculine or feminine looking. Most of the time, the feminine face won her heart because they trusted and felt safer with this sort of look. During ovulation, when women are at their most fertile, the sweet guys didn't even get a look in. Bugger nice, they all said, this is about sex, and they pushed the bar in the other direction to choose the most masculine face possible. But it's not just a case of going for the traditional bad boy look at the time when you're most likely to feel like a bit, evolutionary theory says this is the guy with the most testosterone. Which of course means a guy who'll father healthy offspring and be physically strong enough to protect them from the dangers of outside world. Post ovulation, when lust takes a backseat and logic settles in, the women again rejected the masculine men. Then they were voted too aggressive and womanizing: 'a man like that would want lots of sex and seek it elsewhere if he didn't get it at home'.

Lesson: The message for both sexes is clear: we're attracted to one type of look/person for sex, another type/look to marry. Customize yours to suit.

Paul Frank x Lip Smacker

Before I was old enough to know the joyful benefits of Christian Dior lip gloss, I was slathering my puckers with the junior version from Bonne Belle: Lip Smackers.

For years, Smackers Lip Sparkler in Raspberry Orbit got me through junior high and, admittedly, into the first year of university, because it had the perfect amount of color without looking unnatural.

My trusted Bonne Belle brand is now collaborating with Paul Frank, the tee and accessories label with Julius the monkey as mascot. The limited-edition collection — which launches in late 2010 — has nine flavors in total: banana, banana split, banana pie and chocolate-covered banana, among others.

Look Fabulous in Under Five Minutes

The 15 or even 10 minutes in the morning to spend on makeup? We certainly do not. But this does not mean that we want to get out of the door looking less than withdrawing them, together, or beautiful. This is the main reason to have easy and ready makeup look and a small number of basic products at hand. If you do not, you're in luck. This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to get the makeup look fabulous in five minutes, but using the minimum of items of significant impact makeup.

How to Use Blush

When it comes to blush, makeup experts agree that the look should be natural. But natural doesn’t have to be boring. No matter what look you’re after when applying blush, cosmetics companies have come a long way in offering great selections in every color and form. Whether your goal is a warm natural glow or a hot, sultry sizzle, here’s how to choose the best blush makeup for you.

How To Choose The Right Type Of Blush
The first thing you’ll want to consider is which type of blush is going to work for you. Powder blushes are by far the most common, but cream, gel, and liquid blush cosmetics are gaining popularity. Each has its own benefits and advantages.

Powder blush can come in a compact as a pressed powder or as a loose mineral powder, often packaged in an applicator bottle. Powder blushes blend well, pack a lot of color, and have great staying powder. They also work well in combination with powder foundations, giving a nice matte appearance that helps to reduce shine for people with oily skin. If you use a powder foundation, powder blush may be the best choice for you.

Cream blushes usually come in a pot or a stick and are applied with fingertips, cosmetic sponges or broad, soft stipple brushes. Creme blush is very blendable and easy to work with, although it can leave a heavy, made-up look if used improperly. But don’t hesitate to try it, even if you don’t know how to apply cream blush. A big advantage of cream blushes is that if you apply too much, it’s easy to blot away the excess. Cream blush may be a good choice for dry or mature skin, since powder blushes can make those skin types appear ashen.

Liquid blush or gel blush is a color stain that contains no powder or cream. It can come in a squeezable tube or in a bottle (often with an applicator, very similar to liquid lip gloss). The color is light and translucent on the skin, and is built up in layers. Since liquid blush does not typically contain creams or emollients it dries rapidly once it’s on the skin, so you have to work quickly, blending with your fingertips in a circular motion. While this takes some skill, the results can be worth it if you want a blush that looks entirely like your own natural flush. Liquid blush can be used with or without foundation.
How To Choose The Right Shade Of Blush Makeup

One of the trickiest aspects of choosing a blush that is right for you is finding a shade that works well with your own coloring. Whenever possible, purchase blush cosmetics from a department store that will let you sample the colors on your own skin or from stores with liberal return policies.

Cosmetics companies often designate colors as cool, warm or neutral. A trick to determining which shades look best on you is to think about your clothing choices. If you look wonderful in oranges, peaches, or beiges, a warm shade of blush will probably be best. If turquoise, bright pink, or silver look stunning on you, you’ll most likely want to choose cool shades of blush. Neutral blush shades work for either skin tone, although they aren’t generally meant to give a lot of color to the cheeks. Neutral shades can be great for contouring, while either a cool or a warm tone of blush gives nice highlights or shimmer.
How To Apply Blush

Several considerations factor in to how you should apply your blush. First of all, are you looking for a quick daytime look or a sultry evening sizzle? Second, do you need to broaden a narrow face or lengthen a wide face? Third, how much time do you have or want to spend applying blush?

The most basic look with blush is to mimic your own natural flush to add a hint of color to your face and brighten your features. This can be achieved by bending over and letting the blood flow to your head for a few seconds, then standing up and noting where the color shows on your face. Blush those areas, which usually include the apples of your cheeks and the temples. Apply just a light dusting or a small shimmer of blush in a color that most naturally matches the color of your flushed skin, and you’re done.

If you’d like to balance out the shape of your face or minimize and highlight certain features, there are several tricks you can use with blush. First, remember that darker tones tend to minimize, while lighter shades tend to enhance. This is called contouring. So for instance, to lengthen a wide face, you wouldn’t use a shimmery pink on the outer edges of the cheekbones.

To add contours, it is often necessary to use two different blush shades. Start with a neutral shade of blush in the hollows of your cheeks (or where hollows would be), along the jawline, and across the top of your forehead. For a dramatic evening look, you can use a little more than you normally would during the day, but the look should still be subtle. Blend away any edges or harsh lines thoroughly, then apply a lighter or shimmery color to the apples of the cheeks and anywhere else that you want to emphasize.

A light, shimmery blush just along the tops of cheekbones and directly under the eye area can add a nice highlight that emphasizes your eyes. To minimize the appearance of a wide face, that same light shimmer can be applied vertically on either side of your nose to draw attention away from the outer edges. To widen a thin face, do just the opposite, applying the lighter color on the outside edges of your cheeks near the ears.

To give your face a sunkissed glow, apply bronzer just on the outermost planes of the face, where the sun would hit first. This includes the top of the nose, the top of the cheekbones, your forehead and your chin. Again, the golden rule in learning how to put on blush is to not overdo it. You just want to give the appearance of a healthy glow—not a sunburn.

Healthier, younger-looking skin awaits you, naturally.

Your makeup could be making you toxic

I'm in the process of accumulation of toxic substances from heavy metals, and one thing mentioned is the naturopathic doctor to look at the makeup bag that I could be getting toxins from some of my colleagues in the face of such paint lipstick, foundation, and mascara. I did not Scooby Doo, when she said that. "What do you mean I need to look at my intention?"

Red lips Did you know that personal care products such as shampoo, conditioner, aftershave, lotion and makeup are not regulated by the FDA, or any other government agency, because they are not technically considered food. It's not kosher to test on animals, but my makeup people can do things like bullets loaded in your lipstick to make the color richer and longer-term, you lead a toxic side effect. However, makeup such as lipstick is something we easily absorbed when we bite our lips kiss or other persons. Similarly, will accommodate anything you rub on your skin is in the body. Just because something has not been "eaten" does not mean they can not get in the body.

Due to lack of government regulations, and personal product companies can use ingredients which are "known or suspected to be carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins in their products." Ieckis! This is where the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics (CFSC) is the role and mission of this group, "is to protect the health of consumers and workers by requiring industry, health and beauty to phase out the use of chemicals linked to cancer, birth defects and other health problems, replacing them with safer alternatives."

And CFSC has a list of all the makeup manufacturers who signed the agreement for the safety of cosmetics makers makeup where he had "pledged not to use chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects in their products and to implement substitution plans that replace hazardous materials with safer alternatives in every market in which they operate. "Unfortunately, in spite of the authors of the make-up I use is not on this list. I'm afraid to see what is in my intention.

In more than one database established by the beauty and the Environmental Working Group you can do a search for your makeup and see where is ranked toxic "dangerous." As an example, you search all I use make-up, Here are a dozen and they mean:

Do You Know What is Waterproof make up

Water proof makeup is made up of water from the issuance of silicon oil is called Dimethicone copolyol such aid in giving a soft and smooth to touch skin. Moreover, this is oil, which was drafted with the properties of the strong commitment of makeup with skin and hair.

Constitute proof of water keeps your face fresh and spanking new. It's easy to use and comfortable for each one, but raises health concerns for women because it can not be removed by water and the need for solvents. This is a quiet harsh solvent to remove sebum from the skin with essential make-up.

Sebum is the oily substance to protect skin from chemicals and pollutants and remove irritants cause damage to the skin. The problem of wrinkles and aging is more due to the absence of sebum in the skin. And women who suffer from inflammation of the eyelid should not be evidence of the use of water is mainly because it may increase the irritation.
